Conservation
farmland and community-led projects
Conservation projects are integral to the work of Erne Environmental Ltd. and we have many years’ experience working with farmers, community groups and environmental NGOs to deliver positive outcomes for wildlife.
Working with the agricultural sector and community groups is a particular company specialty, seeking to maximise biodiversity gains within the context of thriving farm businesses and through community driven conservation projects.
We manage an award-winning breeding wader (curlew, snipe, lapwing) project in Co. Fermanagh working with local landowners, Lough Erne Wildfowlers’ Council and the wider community – to ensure these birds can be enjoyed by future generations in the local countryside.
We can provide a free initial consultation for community-led conservation projects, with a particular interest in those involving farmland, wetland and upland habitats/ species.
